We are a non-profit student organisation representing all students within the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy (FEMA), which today encompasses approximately 2,000 students.
ASCS was founded in the early 1980s, during a time when FEMA was still in its formative stages and the number of commerce students was relatively small. Despite this, there was already a strong need for unity and student representation, particularly a desire for students to have a voice in shaping the future of the Faculty. It was from this spirit of collaboration and advocacy that ASCS was born.
Although the language of our mission and objectives has naturally evolved over time, the fundamental values that shaped the founding of the association; representation, advocacy, and community, continue to guide us today.
